MLB Props: Take Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Angels to Beat Patrick Corbin

Patrick Corbin has been one of the most favorite fades in all of Major League Baseball over the last year or so.

The Washington Nationals left-handed pitcher allowed eight earned runs off 17 hits in his first two starts for the Washington Nationals this season.

Corbin sits in a rough position on Monday night, as he faces Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels lineup.

Trout, Ohtani and Co. should be licking their chops to face Corbin and put up some big offensive numbers.

I love betting against Corbin in the first place, and I love this spot even more with the Angels' two power hitters.

MLB Props

Mike Trout Over 1.5 Total Bases (-135)

Shohei Ohtaini Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

Mike Trout Home Run (+310)

Shohei Ohtani Home Run (+425)

Corbin's numbers are brutal.

There's no other way to put it.

The Nationals ace gave up four earned runs on seven hits in his Opening Day start against the Atlanta Braves that only lasted three innings.

Corbin was roughed up for six earned runs on 10 hits over six innings in his second appearance against the Tampa Bay Rays. He allowed two home runs to the Rays as part of that bad start.

A year ago, Corbin gave up multiple home runs in eight starts and five or more earned runs in 11 appearances.

The Angels come into Monday off a series with the Toronto Blue Jays in which they posted 23 runs, 11 of which came in Sunday's series finale.

Trout is on an eight-game hitting streak in which he has three home runs, two doubles and a pair of multi-hit games.

Ohtani had a pair of multi-hit games and one home run against the Blue Jays over the weekend.

Trout and Ohtani have never faced Corbin, but that should not deter them from taking advantage of Corbin right away on Monday night.

The Angels should cruise to a victory behind their power bats, and the other thing I want to note is that we don't often get Trout and Ohtani both over +300 to hit a home run, so I'm riding with those props as well in this favorable spot.
