In her too short life – Alex Scott made an enormous impact on the world. Diagnosed with childhood cancer at the age of four - Alex told her parents she wanted to set up a lemonade stand to help doctors find a cure. That simple act blossomed into a remarkable movement and campaign that raised more than a million dollars by the time Alex passed away at the age of eight. Loraine Ballard Morrill speaks with Liz Scott who along with her husband Jay co-founded Alex’s Lemonade Foundation which carries on the mission started by their daughter. The Foundation’s next big event is Alex’s Million Mile Run, Walk, Ride 2017 which takes place from Friday September 1 to Saturday September 30. Sign up to start your own Alex’s Million Mile team or join an existing team to raise awareness and help kids fight cancer.
