A Pennsylvania man, suspected of killing three family members, was arrested in Trenton, New Jersey, after a long standoff with law enforcement.

The suspect, 26-year-old Andre Gordon Jr, is accused of killing his 52-year-old stepmother, his 13-year-old sister, and the mother of his two children in two separate homes in Falls Township, Pennsylvania. After the alleged murders, Gordon fled to New Jersey, where he barricaded himself inside a home in Trenton.

Authorities believed Gordon was inside the house, leading to a tense standoff. However, Gordon had managed to leave the house before the police arrived. He was later spotted walking on New York Avenue, a few blocks away from the house, and was taken into custody without any incident.

In addition to the murder charges he faces in Pennsylvania, Gordon is also facing weapons and carjacking charges in New Jersey. He is currently in custody at the Mercer County Correctional Center. A hearing is pending to transfer him to Pennsylvania to face the murder charges.

The alleged murders and subsequent standoff led to a shelter-in-place order in Falls Township, affecting local businesses and events. The Falls Township St. Patrick's Day Parade was cancelled, and residents were advised to stay inside their homes and away from windows.

Gordon's arrest ended a day of fear and uncertainty in the community. Authorities are still investigating the incidents and the motive behind the alleged murders.
