MACtion Picks: Take Ohio to Cover, Bowling Green-Toledo Over

The two likely participants in the MAC Championship Game will be in action on Tuesday night.

The Toledo Rockets already secured the MAC West title and they can add another victory to their strong season against Bowling Green inside the Glass Bowl.

Ohio is one step away from clinching the MAC East crown and setting up the matchup with Toledo on championship weekend.

Ohio (-4) at Ball State (7 p.m. ET, ESPN2)

Ohio has been the best team in the MAC East and it has been winning in convincing fashion over the last month.

The Bobcats have four double-digit victories in their last five games and they are the better overall football team compared to Ball State.

Ball State has a fantastic running back in Carson Steele, but when it had to pass last week to come back, it was unable to do anything.

Ohio's overall defensive numbers are worse than Ball State, but it can match strength for strength in the ground game and it has a better attack through the air, led by Kurtis Rourke.

Rourke's numbers are far better than Ball State quarterback John Paddock. Rourke has 24 touchdowns and four interceptions, while Paddock has 16 touchdowns and 11 picks.

Bowling Green at Toledo (Over 50) (7 p.m. ET, ESPNU)

Toledo's offense averages 35.1 points per game and Bowling Green's defense gives up 32.6 points per contest.

Bowling Green was rocked by Kent State for 40 points last week. The Falcons allowed at least 38 points in all of their five defeats.

Toledo locked up the MAC West last week, but it still has plenty of motivate on Tuesday night. The Rockets have not had more than seven wins since 2017.

The Rockets allowed over 20 points to each of their last five foes and the Over was on the way to hitting last week against Ball State before the game stalled out.
