NBA 3-Point Play: John Collins, Nikola Vucevic, Kelly Olynyk

Wednesday could be a spectacular night for big men across the NBA.

John Collins and Nikola Vucevic are among the players that could benefit down low in favorable matchups.

Collins is facing the worst team in the NBA when it comes to defending the glass and Vucevic takes on an opponent playing without its best big man.

Kelly Olynyk is a big man by size, but he has done a majority of his work on the perimeter so far this season. He could be set up to continue an early-season run of success from beyond the arc against a foe he faced a few days ago.

NBA 3-Point Play

Overall Record: 6-2

John Collins Over 7.5 Rebounds (-140)

John Collins Double-Double (+180)

John Collins and the Atlanta Hawks have a terrific matchup on their hands against the Detroit Pistons.

Detroit conceded the most total rebounds in the NBA and it is on the back end of a back-to-back set of games. The Pistons gave up 47 rebounds to the Washington Wizards on Monday night. Four of the five Washington starters had at least six boards.

Atlanta's rebounding will likely not be as spread out and it should be concentrated between Collins and Clint Capela.

Collins is leading the Hawks early on in rebounds per game and he has cleared this number in each of his three games. The last two games featured double-digit rebound totals out of Collins.

Collins usually cruises into the double-digit point totals, so it only makes sense to fire on the double-double as well given Detroit's poor numbers conceding rebounds.

Nikola Vucevic Over 17.5 Points (-125)

Nikola Vucevic should continue the run of strong center performances against the Indiana Pacers.

Joel Embiid posted 26 points on the Pacers on Monday and Isaiah Stewart had an 11-point, 17-rebound game on Saturday. Jakob Poeltl had 21 points and Kristaps Porzingis posted a double-double in the two other games against the Pacers.

Vucevic has had at least 15 points in all of his four games. He posted a season high of 24 points against Washington, who is also in the top 10 of most points allowed to centers.

Vucevic should feast down low against an Indiana team without Myles Turner and Daniel Theis. We saw a similar dominant performance out of Vucevic last season, as he posted 36 points and 17 rebounds against an Indiana team with very little paint presence.

Kelly Olynyk Over 1.5 Threes (-110)

Kelly Olynyk.

Yes, Kelly Olynyk is a go-to player on the prop market on Wednesday night.

Olynyk has emerged as a decent piece in Utah's starting five that has exceeded expectations at the start of a tank.

Olynyk knocked down multiple threes in each of his three games this season and he is going up against a Houston defense that has the fifth-worst opponent three-point percentage.
