MLB Props: Take Rafael Devers To Lead Red Sox In Favorable Matchup at Home

The Boston Red Sox are the largest favorite on Tuesday's Major League Baseball board at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Boston is 5-2 during its current homestand and it has a chance to do a ton of damage at the plate against Detroit Tigers starter Beau Brieske, who has the highest home run concession of any of Tuesday's starting pitchers.

Brieske has not given up an earned run in his last two starts, but those were both at home inside Comerica Park. The right-handed hurler has been much worse on the road.

Detroit's starter owns a 4.97 ERA on the road and he has conceded more hits and home runs away from home in four fewer innings.

That leads me to Rafael Devers, JD Martinez and the power bats inside the Boston order to take advantage of Brieske's sketchy road form.

Boston is one of a few teams worth taking advantage of inside its home ball park on Tuesday against pitchers that have below average numbers.

Tuesday MLB Props

Overall Record: 31-42 (2-1 Monday)

Rafael Devers Over 1.5 Total Bases (-120)

Home Run +320

Rafael Devers leads the Red Sox in home hits and OPS and he is the only Boston batter with an OPS over 1.000 against right-handed pitching.

Devers has 66 hits, 13 home runs and a 1.023 OPS against right-handed arms. Those numbers should put himself in a good position to hit a few times off Brieske on Tuesday night.

The Boston third baseman has two or more total bases in four of his last seven games, all of which took place at Fenway Park.

If you needed extra conviction to pick Devers, he is second in the majors in hits on Tuesdays with 17 and he is third behind Mike Trout and Willson Contreras in OPS on Tuesdays this season.

Jose Abreu Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)

The wind is expected to blow out at U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday night.

Jose Abreu is one of many home run hitters for the Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays that could take advantage of the blustery conditions.

Abreu is one of the best options of the group because of his previous history against Kevin Gausman, who comes into the game with 22 hits conceded over 12 innings in June.

Abreu owns a .375 career batting average against the Toronto right-handed pitcher and he leads the White Sox in hits, doubles and home runs against right-handed pitching.

Michael Harris II Over 1.5 Total Bases (+150)

Michael Harris II has been the hottest hitter over the last week in an Atlanta Braves lineup with multiple All-Star players.

The rookie outfielder has eight hits, including a triple and home run, in the last seven days and he is coming off a 3-for-3 day at the plate with five total bases.

Harris and the Braves take on Anthony DeSclafani, who is making his first start since April 21 for the San Francisco Giants.

DeSclafani gave up 22 hits and nine earned runs over 13.1 innings in three April starts before he made a trip to the injured list.

Harris is red-hot at the plate and he is close to must-bet status with his total bases prop at +150.
