MLB Props: Alejandro Kirk, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Yordan Alvarez

The bats across Major League Baseball are finally starting to heat up.

The power surge from Friday night will hopefully carry over to Saturday, where there are an abundance of afternoon games.

In fact, only three games are scheduled to start after 7 p.m. ET. It's a treat for everyone wanting the power surge to continue.

Some aces are on the mound for Saturday's games, so I had to be picky with some of the matchups. The good news is that a handful of them reside in the afternoon slate and the picks below reflect that.

MLB Total Bases Picks

Overall Record: 22-32

Alejandro Kirk Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)

All Alejandro Kirk does is record hits.

The Toronto Blue Jays catcher owns the best home OPS on the roster and he has three or more total bases in five of his last seven appearances.

Kirk and the Blue Jays should bounce back from a three-run performance on Friday against Minnesota's Dylan Bundy, who allowed 22 hits over his last three road starts.

Bundy gave up 27 hits in 18.2 innings in May. That was one of the highest totals across baseball in the last month.

Kirk has 30 hits, six doubles and three home runs against right-handed pitching and he should see plenty of hittable pitches behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Teoscar Hernandez in the Toronto order.

Ke'Bryan Hayes Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)

The Pittsburgh Pirates should feast against Zach Davies of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Davies conceded 19 hits and five home runs over his last three starts and he has a 5.40 road ERA.

Ke'Bryan Hayes leads the Pirates in hits and doubles against right-handed pitchers. He is on a six-game hitting streak with two or more total bases in four of those six contests.

Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)

Yordan Alvarez has at least two total bases in each of his last five games.

Alvarez had three hits, six total bases and a home run on Friday night. That performance came after Alvarez's new contract with the Astros was reported.

Alvarez has a 1.071 OPS in road games and he has one of the hottest bats over the last week. Expect him to reach base with the confidence behind him from the new contract being finalized.
