Station manager and dear friend to Fox Sports Philadelphia, Mike Tallarida, was a staple in creating the station and without him, Fox Sports Philadelphia's early success would not have happened. Please help us raise money to keep Mike in our thoughts when we grant a lucky boy a scholarship to The Haverford School in Mike Tallarida's name.
iHeartMedia FOX Sports Radio Philadelphia Sponsors Fundraiser for the Mike Tallarida Scholarship Fund
PHILADELPHIA – April 27, 2022 – iHeartMedia Philadelphia FOX Sports Radio Philadelphia is sponsoring a benefit baseball game Saturday May 14th at 11:00 a.m. to benefit the Mike Tallarida Scholarship Fund. The fund provides financial support to a deserving student at the Haverford School. There will be a Haverford School Varsity Vs. Father Judge baseball game at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Junior Varsity Match up. The event will take place at Haverford School 450 Lancaster Avenue, Haverford, PA 19041.
Mike Tallarida was a beloved member of the iHeartMedia Philadelphia family who passed away in 2021. Mike was a selfless husband and father, wonderful son and brother, devoted coach, and loyal friend. He had a great career at iHeart Media and what he loved most about his role was that it afforded him the flexibility to do what he loved the most, spend time with his wife Nicole, daughter Brynn and son Michael. One of his proudest accomplishments was sending his son Michael to The Haverford School, which was made possible with the help of scholarships. He understood the impact that Haverford had on Michael's life and would want nothing more than to give the same opportunity to other boys. There is no better way to honor Mike's memory than to help more boys become men of character through an education at The Haverford School.
Organizers hope to raise $100,000.00 in donations for the Mike Tallarida Scholarship Fund. To learn more contact Cindy Shaw at cshaw@haverford.org or Jeff Day at jday@haverford.org. or to donate click on this link.
