Joel Embiid Will Forever Be An MVP In Philadelphia

Over this past weekend, Sixers All-Star and NBA MVP candidate Joel Embiid did something that exceeded any statistic he could have accomplished on the court. A 17-year-old fan from New England who was in hospice care had one dying wish. That wish was to Facetime with Joel Embiid. The 5x All-Star fulfilled this kid's wish before he sadly passed away shortly after.

Fox Sports The Gambler's (@foxphlgambler) Jerrold Colton told this story on "The All-Pro Philly Show" Monday night.

As a professional sports agent, Colton went on to mention how "it sounds so simple to do a Facetime call, but it's hard to do that when these guys have so many requests."

Without Jerrold Colton mentioning this heartfelt act by the Sixers' Center, it may have easily gone unnoticed.

The NBA may vote differently, but Joel Embiid will always be OUR MVP right here in Philadelphia.
