NBA 3-Point Play: Tobias Harris, DeMar DeRozan, Donovan Mitchell, More

The final week of the NBA regular season can be a fickle beast to navigate.

There are all sorts of motivations across the league from playoff seeding to resting players to tanking.

The best games to wager on Tuesday involve teams that need to win to improve their playoff seeding.

Milwaukee and Chicago is the highest profile clash, but it lost some intrigue when Zach LaVine was ruled out this afternoon.

LaVine's absence should open the door for DeMar DeRozan to score at a high level to match Giannis Antetokounmpo.

As for the Philadelphia 76ers, they need another easy night against a weaker opponent to earn the best seed possible in the Eastern Conference.

Tobias Harris is the target of my favorite prop bet in that game because of his recent form from three-point line.

NBA 3-Point Play

Overall Record: 66-75

Tobias Harris Over 1.5 Threes (-110)

Tobias Harris settled into his role as the No. 3 scorer on the 76ers roster over the last few weeks.

Harris displayed a willingness to take more three-point shots and that resulted in a five made three-pointers against Charlotte on Saturday.

Harris likely will not hit five three-pointers against Indiana, who is weaker than Charlotte defending the three, but he could easily go over his three-point prop.

The Sixers forward knocked down at least two three-point shots in five of his last seven games.

Fred VanVleet Over 3.5 Threes (+105) & Gary Trent Jr. Over 2.5 Threes (-135)

Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr. have tortured Atlanta's three-point defense in three meetings this season.

VanVleet is 14-for-34 and Trent is 13-for-24 from deep against the Hawks.

The Hawks just gave up 17 three-pointers to the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday despite pulling off a key victory in the play-in race.

Atlanta needs to win to keep ahead of Brooklyn, who faces Houston on Tuesday, and Toronto is playing for seeding.

We could see a high-scoring game with a ton of threes, and based off the games this season, I'm backing FVV and Trent to score from deep.

If you want to play this, a 3+ threes same game parlay for FVV and Trent pays out at +150.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 31.5 Points (-105) & DeMar DeRozan Over 27.5 Points (-120)

Milwaukee-Chicago features everything you could ask for in a regular-season game in the last week of the NBA season.

The Bucks and Bulls are both fighting for the best possible seed and the game should provide us with a back-and-forth between star players.

Giannis Antetokounpo and the Bucks need to rebound from Sunday's home loss to Dallas. He scored 28 points in that game after averaging 33.3 points per game in March.

Antetokounmpo recorded two 30-point games in three meetings with the Bulls and I think he will take charge for the Bucks.

The same can be said for DeMar DeRozan, who needs to play well in order for the Bulls to prove they can be competitive with a team above them in the standings.

DeRozan should do even more scoring with Zach LaVine expected to be out with a knee injury.

Donovan Mitchell Over 26.5 Points (+100)

Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz need a win on Tuesday night to avoid a late drop into the play-in round.

Mitchell will take plenty of shots against the Ja Morant-less Grizzlies and he has been around the 25-30-point mark for most of the last month. He had 26 points in Saturday's loss to Golden State.

This is a game that Mitchell needs to take over and I believe he cruises over his point total.
