NBA 3-Point Play: LaMelo Ball, C.J. McCollum, Ayo Dosunmu

LaMelo Ball faces one of the best matchups that a NBA point guard could have on Friday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are giving up assists at will to the league's top chance creators and it is now Ball's turn to exploit that weakness.

LaMelo will be the only Ball brother on the court for the next month or so as his brother Lonzo recovers from knee surgery.

Lonzo Ball's absence in the Chicago Bulls lineup points me to Ayo Dosunmu, who has a low points prop compared to what his production has been with Zach LaVine out of the lineup.

Those two spots plus a buy-low opportunity with C.J. McCollum made the 3-Point Play fairly easy to write up.

NBA 3-Point Play

Overall Record: 23-22

LaMelo Ball Over 8.5 Assists (+115)

LaMelo Ball is coming off a triple-double against the Boston Celtics and he should deliver assists at a high rate against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In Oklahoma City's last three games, it gave up 14 assists to Dejounte Murray, 12 assists to Luka Doncic and 18 assists to Darius Garland.

Ball produced at least eight assists in five of his last six games for the NBA's No. 2 scoring offense.

He should be able to create whatever he wants at home against the team that gives up the seventh-most assists per game.

C.J. McCollum Over 19.5 Points (+100)

I'm buying low on C.J. McCollum's points prop.

McCollum produced 16 points in his return in Orlando on Monday and he put up 24 points in Miami on Wednesday.

On Friday, the Portland star faces a Boston Celtics team that he scored 24 points against in a 28-point defeat back on December 4.

McCollum attempted 33 field goals in his first two games back and he knocked down four three-point shots on Wednesday.

He should easily get to 20 points if he plays well with that high shot volume.

Ayo Dosunmu Over 11.5 Points (-125)

Ayo Dosunmu will be in an even more elevated role with the Chicago Bulls over the next month.

Zach LaVine has been out for the last week and now Lonzo Ball is out with a knee injury. That opens up even more playing time and scoring chances for the rookie out of Illinois.

Dosunmu scored 21, 15 and 18 points in the last three games and this prop will only go up in the coming games when he hits this tonight.
