NBA 3-Point Play: Joel Embiid, Jakob Poeltl, Marvin Bagley

The NBA 3-Point Play is all about the big men.

Joel Embiid, Jakob Poeltl and Marvin Bagley all have fantastic matchups in their favor across Wednesday's loaded NBA slate.

Embiid was a menace on the glass the last time the Orlando Magic came to Philadelphia, Poeltl faces the worst team against rebounds in the NBA and Bagley takes on a team that had all sorts of trouble on the glass on Tuesday night.

Joel Embiid Over 10.5 Rebounds (-120)

Welcome back Joel Embiid to the NBA 3-Point Play.

I've relied on Embiid's point prop in the last few weeks, but now I'm taking a different angle because of his matchup with the Orlando Magic.

Embiid had 13 rebounds in his first home game this season versus the Magic. He had five boards in the road game that was too close for comfort on January 5.

I think the home clash with Orlando is the better indicator of what will happen on Wednesday. Embiid and Andre Drummond combined for 25 rebounds in that victory.

Orlando got crushed on the boards by Jusuf Nurkic on Monday. The Portland center had 21 points and 22 rebounds. That was an extension of a recent trend versus the Magic.

Luka Doncic hauled in nine boards and Mason Plumlee produced 10 rebounds in the two games prior to Monday's loss against Portland.

Orlando attempted 254 field goals in the last three games. That opens up the possibility for a ton of missed shots and rebounds.

Embiid is averaging 9.9 rebounds per game in January and he has 12 or more boards in four of his eight games this month.

Jakob Poeltl Over 22.5 Points & Rebounds (-125)

Jakob Poeltl has a dream matchup in the paint against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Oklahoma City concedes the most rebounds per game in the NBA and Poeltl is in a fantastic run of form on the glass.

Poeltl is averaging 13.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game in January. He just had 23 points and 14 rebounds against the Phoenix Suns without Deandre Ayton.

Poeltl should feast in this matchup and he likely will not have any trouble earning 23 points and rebounds to hit this prop.

Marvin Bagley Over 7.5 Rebounds (-105)

Marvin Bagley has to be champing at the bit to get on the court tonight.

Bagley is averaging 8.8 rebounds per game in January and he has 10 or more boards in four of his eight contests this month.

Bagley and the Sacramento Kings face the Detroit Pistons on the second leg of a back-to-back set. The Pistons gave up eight rebounds to Kevon Looney in the first half against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

Detroit gave up 54 rebounds to Golden State. Looney and Jonathan Kuminga each had 10 rebounds.

As long as Bagley stays out of foul trouble, he should easily cash the over on his rebounds prop.
