The Eagles Trade Carson Wentz To The Colts

On a snowy day in Philadelphia, the news Eagles fans have been waiting for for weeks finally broke. Carson Wentz has been traded to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2021 3rd round pick and a 2022 2nd round pick that could potentially turn into a 1st round pick.

After all of the rumors that have gone around the past few weeks on certain trade scenarios, it seems as if the return for Wentz is underwhelming for Philadelphia, especially after everything the Birds gave up to draft Wentz in 2016.

On the side of the Colts new QB, this trade will quickly determine the fate of his future in the NFL. Carson Wentz has everything he needs in Indy: a coach he has had success with in the past, great offensive weapons, and a top tier defense. If Wentz cannot gain instant success in his new city, we could see his career crumble faster than the Eagles organization did in the last three years.
