Nick Sirianni, the 39-year old offensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, made headlines Tuesday morning as one of the many candidates to interview for the vacant head coach position in Philadelphia.
Sirianni spent 2009-2012 with the Kansas City Chiefs under head coaches Todd Haley and Romeo Crennel, having short success in the offense with QB Matt Cassel. From 2013-2017 Sirianni spent time in the Chargers' offensive system led by QB Philip Rivers, before being hired by Frank Reich and the Colts in 2018 as offensive coordinator. With his 3 years as the Indy OC Nick Sirianni has worked with QBs Andrew Luck, Jacoby Brissett, and then reuniting with Philip Rivers this past year.
Through his 12 year NFL career with 3 different offensive systems, the young 39-year old Sirianni has had his successes with QBs and offenses, but how involved has he really been with these teams? And with the Eagles recently having interviews with Patriots' OC Josh McDaniels and Buccaneers' DC Todd Bowles, how high on the list is Nick Sirianni as a serious candidate for the Birds' head coaching gig?
Does this name entice you at all?
