Justin Theroux is a self-described flip-flop hater. The LEGO Ninjago Movie actor called in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, September 21, and revealed his dislike for the casual footwear.
“I’m not a fan of the flip-flops,” Justin shared, laughing. “I’m fine with them at the beach or indoors or going to a public shower or something like that, but not walking around the streets or … at events or dinners.”
The phenomenon, Justin added, you see “everywhere” and “usually paired with, like, a cargo short.”
“My theory is I’ve never heard a woman — or man for that matter — say, ‘OMG! Look at the feet on that guy!’" he jokingly added. "No one wants to see ‘em so put them away.”
While all men are now quietly burning their flip-flops, Jennifer Aniston’s hubby went on to dish on his latest role in The LEGO Ninjago Movie — and how his reading skills impacted the script.
In the LOL-worthy film, Justin plays evil villain Garmadon who has a son named Lloyd (played by Dave Franco). Justin revealed that when he was recording for the movie, he accidentally pronounced “Lloyd” and “L-L-oyd” and that it stuck in the script.
“It actually was my terrible ability to read making it into the movie,” Justin explained. “When I first got into the booth, I was in full voice going, ‘My son L-L-oyd’ and I said, ‘Oh, sorry. I had a little brain fart.’ And I realized it was L-l-o-y-d and I pronounced both L’s and we thought that was hilarious … so just worked it into the script.”
Listen to the funny interview above. The LEGO Ninjago Movie hits theaters on Friday, September 22.
