Tobias Harris has been one of the most consistent scorers in the NBA in December.
Harris is averaging 19.7 points per game in December. That total is 2.6 PPG more than his season average.
Harris has also been a profitable player for bettors, as his player prop typically sits right above 15 points.
The same situation is in play on Friday and Harris gets an extra kicker because he plays against his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers.
Harris carries my favorite player prop of the night. There is another former team narrative in play that I like, as well one side of a superstar matchup.
Tobias Harris Over 15.5 Points (-130)
Tobias Harris scored 17 or more points in six of the seven games he has played in December.
Harris scored 17 points and knocked down a pair of threes on Wednesday despite being in foul trouble from the start against the Detroit Pistons.
Harris and the Sixers take on a Clippers team that starts a long road trip on Friday. The Clippers have been susceptible to conceding points to small forwards.
Will Barton scored 14 points off the bench and Mikal Bridges put up 27 points for the Phoenix Suns in two of the last three games.
In addition to all of this, Harris is playing his former team. He scored 20, 25 and 29 points in three of his last four games against the Clippers. He has 17 or more points in four of the five games he has played as a Sixers player against the Clippers.
Kevin Durant Over 28.5 Points (-110)
Kevin Durant has played well against Giannis Antetokounmpo since joining the Brooklyn Nets.
Durant scored over 30 points in five of his last seven clashes with Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks.
He scored 29 and 26 points in the other two contests.
Durant has a trio of 30-point games in his last five games.
I think we see the best of Durant yet again versus the Bucks in what has the potential to be the game of the night.
Christian Wood Over 18.5 Points (-115)
I love myself a good former team narrative.
Christian Wood scored 26 points in his first meeting against the Houston Rockets this season. That happened without Luka Doncic in a game in which the Dallas Mavericks scored 92 points.
Wood has five 20-point performances this month and he should receive plenty of opportunities to score with Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber and Josh Green out.
The injury absences should allow Wood to take a few more shots than usual. That’s a nice boost to his player prop, and it helps that he gets to play his former team in the Houston Rockets as well.
