TNF Props: The Case For Patrick Ricard Touchdown Props

The Baltimore Ravens-Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday night game looks like a mess from a player prop perspective.

Baltimore has a few key names on the injury report and Tampa Bay has underachieved by far in certain spots of the season.

There are not many intriguing player props to choose from at DraftKings Sportsbook, but one long shot has my attention.

Patrick Ricard Anytime TD Scorer (+1400)

We need a very specific situation to play out for Patrick Ricard to find the end zone on Thursday night, but I believe there is a better path to him scoring on Thursday than in any other game.

The Ravens may or may not have Mark Andrews, who has 13 total opportunities in the red zone this season. Andrews is the primary target for Lamar Jackson in the red zone and he very well could score against Tampa Bay.

Isaiah Likely and Josh Oliver, or even Nick Boyle, could be targeted by Jackson if Andrews is out, but why go that route when there is a trustworthy pass-catcher already in the lineup.

Ricard has been on the field for over 60 percent of Baltimore's offensive snaps in every game this season. He is primarily a blocker in the run game, but he did have two catches on two targets for 20 yards last week.

Ricard is lacking a large target sample, but all it takes is one pass, or one handoff to the fullback for the bet to cash.

The rushing aspect that affects this prop should not be ignored either. J.K. Dobbins is out and Gus Edwards was listed on the injury report during the week.

Edwards and Jackson are the primary ball carriers, but the Ravens could turn to Ricard to get into the end zone if they are within two yards. Ricard could use his body to barrel through defenders, while Edwards and Jackson may be stopped.

Ricard has one touchdown in the last year, and he has not scored often in his career, but Thursday's situation could be perfect for him to cash in on his yearly touchdown.

I'm going to take a small flier on him to score the first touchdown at +6500 as well, but I do think he will get a red zone opportunity of some sort.
