MLB Props: Nick Castellanos, Rafael Devers, Alex Verduo, Rowdy Tellez

Positivity is a rare commodity inside the Philadelphia Phillies fan base.

Not everything about the Phillies has been terrible during their five-game losing streak.

The wins may not be there, but the red-hot bat of Nick Castellanos does reside in the middle of the Phillies lineup.

Castellanos has 16 total bases in the last six games and he has three multi-hit games during that span.

The right-handed power hitter could be the difference-maker in Wednesday's clash with the San Francisco Giants that is headlined by the pitching matchup between Carlos Rodon and Aaron Nola.

Castellanos has a .500 career batting average against Rodon, who has not been overly dominant in his last few starts.

Castellanos is a top individual target for total bases props and the Boston Red Sox should be your top team to look on Wednesday night.

Boston faces Hunter Greene, who has been a home run conceding machine for the Cincinnati Reds. The Red Sox are also in a rare spot to bounce back from a sluggish offensive performance.

MLB Total Bases Props

Nick Castellanos Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)

Nick Castellanos has one of the hottest bats in the majors.

The Phillies slugger has 16 total bases over the last six games. He went over his 1.5 total bases prop in each of those contests.

Some bettors may stay away from Castellanos against Carlos Rodon, but I encourage going after the prop.

Rodon conceded 22 hits in his last three starts. He allowed 10 hits on the road against the St. Louis Cardinals on May 15 and the Cincinnati Reds tagged him for seven hits on May 27 in Ohio.

All of Castellanos' splits against Rodon, at home and against left-handed pitching suggest he could be in for another big day inside Citizens Bank Park.

Castellanos is a .500 hitter in 10 career at-bats against Rodon, he has a .831 home OPS and a .852 OPS against left-handed pitchers.

Rafael Devers Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

The Boston Red Sox scored one run in their last two games.

The lackluster showings at the plate can be attributed more to opposing pitchers than the Red Sox struggling themselves.

Boston should get back on track in a major way on Wednesday against Hunter Greene, who is second in the majors in home runs conceded.

You can probably take your pick of the Red Sox sluggers to take advantage of Greene's inconsistencies on the mound.

Rafael Devers had two hits on Tuesday night and he owns a 1.008 OPS against right-handed pitchers. He has 14 doubles and 10 home runs against right-handed pitching.

Alex Verdugo Over 1.5 Total Bases (+145)

Alex Verdugo grabs my attention because of his total bases price compared to the other hitters in the Boston lineup.

Verdugo hit safely in six of the last eight games, and like Devers, he was a rare offensive spark against the Reds last night.

All three of Verdugo's home runs and seven of his 10 doubles have come against right-handed pitching. He could be a solid value option to do significant damage against Greene, or even go yard against the Cincinnati rookie.

Rowdy Tellez Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135)

I'm going back to Rowdy Tellez after he did not cash for me in the first game of Monday's doubleheader between the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs.

Tellez proceeded to record two total bases in Game 2 on Monday and on Tuesday night. He could produce another high number against Kyle Hendricks on Wednesday.

Hendricks ranks in the top 15 in hits conceded with 54 and he was shelled in his last meeting with the Brewers on April 29. Milwaukee tagged him for seven hits and six earned runs. Tellez had a double off Hendricks.

Milwaukee should have an edge since it is facing Hendricks for the third time this season. The Cubs pitcher allowed 28 hits and seven home runs over 29 innings in May.

Tellez is one of a few Brewers sitting at plus money for his total bases prop, but he's the guy I'm running with because of his recent history against Hendricks and inside Wrigley Field.
