Soccer Selections: Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski goal scorer parlay

One of the most profitable parlays in European soccer involves two of the most prolific goal-scorers in the world.

Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland have rarely failed to find the back of the net on a weekly basis in the Bundesliga.

In fact, the Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund forwards have scored in the same match week on eight occasions this season. That stat is even more remarkable when you factor in Haaland missed six match days.

Haaland and Lewandowski have also scored multiple times in three separate match weeks, including last weekend. Lewandowski bagged a hat-trick and Haaland found the back of the net twice.

The two superstars are typically hard to take on anytime goal-scorer props because of odds that can be above -200, but you can parlay the two together to get closer to even money, or in the case this week, a plus-money payout.

That is where we start Soccer Selections for the weekend.

Overall Record: 90-99

Bundesliga: Erling Haaland/Robert Lewandowski to score parlay (+132)

My favorite bet in European club soccer sits at plus money this weekend!

Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski have combined to score 38 Bundesliga goals this season. Both players bagged multiple goals last week.

Haaland scored against Hoffenheim, who Borussia Dortmund plays on Saturday, in their first meeting this season. He has been more active in the final third yet of late with two shots on goal in each of his last three games.

Lewandowski is a goal machine. He is on a four-game scoring streak and he faces a Hertha Berlin team on Sunday that he netted a hat-trick against back in August.

I'm sticking with the single-goal parlay, but if you are interested in a two-goal parlay for the star strikers, it pays out at +1100 on DraftKings.

EPL: Watford (+105) vs, Norwich City (Friday, 3 p.m. ET)

Watford won the first meeting with Norwich City and it could use a victory to steer clear of the bottom three in the Premier League.

Neither club is typically worthy of a wager, but Watford has a clear edge with the contest being played at Vicarage Road.

Norwich City has a -22 goal differential on the road and it conceded multiple times in six of its league matches away from Carrow Road.

EPL: Brentford vs. Wolves (+160) (Saturday, 10 a.m. ET)

This pick has everything to do with Wolves' recent defensive record.

Bruno Lage's club conceded one goal in its last five matches and it is tied with Manchester City for the best road defensive marks in the Premier League.

Wolves' last three league opponents had an expected goals total of one or less. That is a stark difference from when Brentford won 2-0 at Molineux on September 18 and had a 2.5 expected goals total.

EPL: Leeds United (+100) vs. Newcastle (Saturday, 10 a.m. ET)

Leeds United is trending in the right direction with back-to-back wins over Burnley and West Ham.

Leeds has a chance to completely distance itself from the relegation fight with a win over Newcastle United, who are still struggling in 19th place.

Newcastle picked up draws in its last two league matches, but its overall play has not been good enough to crawl out of the bottom three.

Serie A: Lazio vs. Atalanta (Over 3.5; +140) (Saturday, 2:45 p.m. ET)

Lazio has the second-best home scoring record in Serie A.

Atalanta owns the No. 2 scoring offense away from home in the Italian top flight.

Five of Lazio's last six games have had at least three goals.

You see what I'm getting at here? We could see a goal fest in Rome on Saturday afternoon with two high-flying attacks opposing each other.

Ligue 1: Metz vs. Nice (-140) (Sunday, 7 a.m. ET)

Nice is 7-1-2 with a +13 goal differential on the road in Ligue 1 play.

Metz is 1-4-5 with a -7 goal differential inside its home stadium.

Metz won the first meeting with Nice this season, but now Nice is coming in on a four-game winning streak with the motivation to stay in second place in the Ligue 1 table behind PSG.

Nice is in the much better form and it has been the better side throughout the Ligue 1 campaign.

Ligue 1: Clermont vs. Rennes (-1.5; +245) (Sunday, 9 a.m. ET)

Rennes has been wildly successful against the bottom-four clubs in the Ligue 1 table.

Rennes beat Clermont 6-0 on September 22 and it just beat 19th-place Bordeaux by six goals last weekend.

Rennes owns a 21-1 goal advantage over the teams placed 17th-20th in the French top flight.

All of those numbers make me more than comfortable with taking Rennes on a 1.5-goal spread on Sunday morning.
