Fox Sports The Gambler's Sports Wagering Wizard is here with all of your NFL wagering needs.
Mark Drumheller went 3-3-1 in Week 1 and is back to pick more winners for Week 2 of the NFL season.
"The Wizard" was on Friday's episode of the "The Daily Ticket" to break down his best plays of the weekend.
Below is a link to the podcast of that spot as well as the explanations behind Drumheller's picks.
Mark Drumheller's NFL Plays for Week 2:
Green Bay -6 over Detroit. The Packers +130 money line was one of my favorite plays last week and I am backing the Pack again in Week 2. Aaron Rodgers was in midseason form leading the Packers offense to 522 yards last week, and now he faces a deflated Lions team riddled with injuries which includes two starting cornerbacks. We could see 600 yards this week.
Minnesota/Indianapolis over 47.5. The Minnesota secondary showed itself to be a major weakness and I don't see help coming anytime shortly. After allowing 522 yards to Green Bay, Minnesota faces a Colts offense that did not punt once last week in Jacksonville. These two teams are ranked 1st and 6th in yards per play. If Rivers throws his typical interception or two, the short field for the Vikings offense will lead to more points.
Kansas City -8.5 over Los Angeles. The Chiefs have been covering machines yielding a 10-1-1 ATS record in their last 12. The only way to beat the Chiefs is to outscore them and the Chargers simply don't have the firepower. Tyrod Taylor struggled to score against a Bengals defense that Baker Mayfield carved up in Cleveland Thursday night. Factor in Andy Reid coming in off extra rest, and this one has Chiefs written all over it.
Denver +7.5 over Pittsburgh. The market was bullish on Pittsburgh's performance against the Giants on Monday Night Football, pushing this line through the key number of 7. Fangio will attack Pittsburgh's right side of the offensive line and the Broncos will have the final say on whether Big Ben is officially back.
New England +4 over Seattle. Russ was cooking against a Falcon's secondary that could be one of the worst in the NFL this season. I think the real story in Seattle is their defense that allowed Matt Ryan to ring up 450 yards of passing. Atlanta opened up as a one point dog to Seattle last week, and now the Patriots are getting three points more? That tells me there is value on the Pats. Seattle's offensive transformation seems like more smoke than anything else. What do you do when you see smoke? Pull the alarm and close the kitchen. I expect Belichick to do just that on Sunday night. No cooking for Russ this week. Take the Pats plus the points.

Now onto Fantasy..........
Tony "Jigsaw" Cutillo showed off his skills with a 2nd Place finish in the DFS Experts League where he represents The Gambler against analysts from Rotowire, Draft Kings, and ESPN. His triple play of Russell Wilson, Josh Jacobs, and Davante Adams was on point and carried him to a win.
As we approach Week 2, the lineups get tricky and hard to decipher. Do you start your new addition or the player who just didn't show up in week 1? Here's who Jigsaw is looking at to help you win your contest this week........
Corey Davis WR --- This week there is no AJ Brown and Corey will be going up against a Jacksonville team that ranks 30th against the pass. The targets will be plentiful in this game.
Benny Snell RB --- When James Conner went down with another injury, Snell stepped in and shined. He had a burst in his step on his way to an astounding 5.9 YPC. The Denver defense is in shambles and has to travel to Pittsburgh in week 2. Snell will get plenty of opportunities to produce.
Christian Kirk WR --- Yes, D-Hop will steal the show again. However, on a team that ran 82 offensive plays in week 1, there is plenty of balls to go around. While facing a Washington team who doesn't have a fearful secondary, there will be plenty of opportunities to catch them deep.
Bust Alert....Cam Newton QB
The New England QB had an efficient week behind center and used his legs to produce scores. However, without those TDs on the ground, his fantasy point total would have been 6.4 pts. This week he travels to Seattle to play in an intense environment even without the 13th man. Make sure you use with caution. ..
